Rating: - A little different and more involved
This version of the Where in The World, is one of the more different of the Carmen Santiago series. It does not have much of the "classic" features but what makes this game so good is not just the fact that it's educational but the fact that it has a more serious story with a more realistic view point. It's also challenging and a little more personal, for you get to control characters that have back-story and there own personality that's not necessarily comical. So if you're looking for a deeper and less simple version of the game, you should try it, if you prefer the classic versions, than this may or may not be for you.
Rating: - CAUTION
Make sure you check the hardware requirements. I was really excited to find this program. I ordered it and when we installed it wouldn't work because our systems were too new.

Awesome game for my 4,7 and 10 year olds. I enjoyed playing it with them. Listening, visual and grographic skills were used. Loved the adventure and education of this classic game.

This is a good game that will teach children about world geography but younger children may get frustrated with this game. It is really geared toward pre-teens and you have to listen closely to the clues in order to determine where is the world is Carmen. This game will work with Windows XP Home Edition but you have to run it in compatibility mode.
Rating: - Warning: Its not an easy game.
This game is a little frustrating for any child who cannot yet associate a continent with the following clues: kroner, Ho Chi Minh trail, outback, Sahara. I had to help out more than either of us would have liked. On the other hand, it's fun, so she is motivated to try. And she is learning a lot!
CLLCT - The Collective Family An online community of indipendent musicians who have made their music free to download. No, it's not myspace. (disclaimer: I have a profile there too, but nothing that I haven’t also posted on mefi.music. Apart from that I have nothing else to do with running or maintaining the site.)
Originally the 001collective, cllct is a community (or a collective if you will) of musicians dedicated to giving away their music for free on the internet. I randomly found the original 001 site while looking for online communities to post my own home recordings to. Not long after I signed up, the site changed to its current format under the new name cllct.
There is some phenomenal music to be found there, from the cuteness overload of Shelby Sifers, to the mature stylings of Generous Alzir, and even the off-kilter experiments of the Secret Owl Society (who is also the man behind the entire site).
