Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Do not run this on Vista ...
Actually, don't even try to run this unless you're kid is running as an Administrator on the machine ... or it won't run properly. And if you're running Vista, it will trigger the "User Account Control" every time as well. Supports Vista? Well, it *does* run ... but only after the User Account Control.
On our son's computer, we don't let him run as Administrator, but with a limited account (so he can't mess with the parental controls or do other bad stuff). He likes the game, but every time he goes to play it/use it, we have to enter the password, etc. It's a royal pain. Had we known this, we never would have bought it.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - fun and educational
My 9 yo liked this a lot, and found it fun to "play". Very cute graphics, and has good drills.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Lots of fun but may be a bit challenging for a beginner
My son had never really typed before and he failed the first typing test a few times. I thought he was just going to give it up. But he had lost his computer game privileges for a few days and asked to play the typing game. Longing for computer stimulation, he really got into it and was soon playing the games offered in the software. I like the emphasis on correct finger placement, offered in a fun way, and the fact that the games only test kids on the keys they have already learned. Well worth it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great for young kids
My 8 year old loves it, and I see how pretty fast she is using correct finger placement (unlike me..) and getting faster at typing. I think that the way the software is setup, combining games with learning is perfect.

We've tried others, like the disney one in the past, and they never held her interest.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fabiola
Good educational software, and fun to learn. Both my 7-year-old boy and his 10-year-old friend like it.

How the Honeycrisp apple went from being nearly discarded to one of the tastiest best-named apples of all time -- NYTimes says "the iPod of apples" -- and more about the patenting and branding of apples.
"[D]uring its time of evaluation, Honeycrisp, being a beautiful but partially-colored apple, effectively waited in the wings until the big stage was set. I'm not saying the University would not have introduced Honeycrisp against the tide of Red and Golden. I don't know that. It just takes years to get to the point of taking the leap, and maybe 1991 would have been the leaping point regardless of the current. But there's no doubt Honeycrisp jumped into a very favorable current, one that had been started with Granny Smith and had gained irreversible momentum with Gala and Fuji. Its time had come.

But even when your time has come, if you're an apple, it'll still be a while. There are millions of Honeycrisp trees in the ground right now, but a production ranking is nowhere in sight. Like Gala, Honeycrisp will take a few more years before it climbs out of the "All Others" category.

So, if you're David Bedford, and you evaluated a variety for many years until 1991 and then released it, and it's been out now for well over a decade and it's still in "All Others," you've done a wonderful job. That's just the speed of this game. Honeycrisp is on a meteoric rise. This is a thing that's happening very fast, in apple terms."
