Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - you will so regret it if you buy this
OUTRAGEOUS piece of garbage. Not only is it a memory pig, it causes windows to crash. Our system was crippled while this software was installed. And I didn't isolate the problem until after the 30-day guarantee. So I'm out $50 + the many hours I spent trying to nurse my system along.

And it looks like the 2008 version has the same problems. Way to go, guys!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Trendmicro's PC-cillin is a disaster and support is non-existent.
PC-cillin 2007 blocked access to my network scanner and destroyed my "palm pilot hotsync software installation". It deleted other important files without providing a means to get them back. Furthermore, there's no way to fix these problems with PC-cillin installed. I emailed "TrendMicro Support" for help and they did email back but only to advised me to search through their support pages (which were of no help in this case). After two weeks of frustration, I finally uninstalled PC-cillin 2007. I had to use XP's "System Restore" to get my system back to where is was previously. PC-cillin might be OK if you have a very simple computer setup. But for me, PC-cillin was worse than a virus. I will never buy from "TrendMicro" again.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Stay away
A memory hog, a complicated, interfering interface and occasionally downright ineffective. I have a speedy processor and a lot of RAM, and still it slowed my computer down to a standstill. Trend-Micro did try to help, but nothing fixed the problem. Any other program is better than this. I uninstalled for good and went back to Norton, and now my computer is back to normal.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent Protection at an Affordable Price! A Must-Buy!
For the 2006 year, I protected all of my computers with Symantec Norton Internet Security 2006. However, as the end of my subscription with Symantec came to an end, I noticed a favorite magazine of mine, Consumer Reports, had recently done a rating on security suites (which include anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewall all in one convenient package).

My eyes quickly went to the top of the ratings list, and at the top of the list was this product: Trend Micro's pc-Cillin Internet Security 2007! I highly regard the reviews that Consumer Reports conducts, and can confirm their results - I love this internet security suite!

Installation was a breeze, and pc-Cillin automatically set itself up for automatic updates. Compared to what I was using before (Norton Internet Security 2006), pc-Cillin is noticeably better, as not only does it provide better protection, it does so without slowing my computers down like Norton did. Paired with Ad-Aware 2007, I have never had any nasty program, such as a virus, infect my computer!

If you're in the market for all-in-one protection for your computer, whether upgrading from separate programs or another company's internet security suite, you won't be disappointed if you purchase this! Trend Micro's pc-Cillin Internet Security 2007 provides excellent protection at an affordable price! In fact, it's cheaper than Norton and other products, AND has better protection and features! It's a must-buy!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Security 2007
Installed in September 2007, had a problem right away, both my dvd drive an cd drive stopped working, as soon as you would put a disk in the system would freeze up, I got with tech support and they help me install in newer version, ( took about a hour to do)after that it has work fine, I like it better that norton.

Blogs | Appliweb Project

Welcome to my new project : Appliweb !

With Appliweb, I'll try to create a successfull opensource project, for a subject that I find most important: web development.

By successfull opensource project, I mean:

  - A Project with lots of (other) people involved

  - A Project  that will help people.

  - A Project I will eventually earn money with.

For this,

  - I've rent  a shared-server to an ISP: planetwork. A friend of mine (here) recommended them to me.

  - I setup a Joomla project, with blogs and comments and forums

  - I wrote some articles explaining my ideas and how to create them

It's the  first project that I didn't start by writing the code ! Others have failed, even if many people still looks into them....

Now the website is ready, I will begin to write some code (in javascript ! eechhhh).

I'm waiting to have something to show before I write about it in my favorite websites !

I've heard it said by Dave Winer and many many others: if only Dean had reinvested half the money raised into the Internet, then ...

OK, so you're the Dean Campaign Chief Information Officer in August 2003. The money starts to roll in. $20 million over six months, $2-4 million per month.

What would you spend the money on?

  1. What does your monthly budget look like?
  2. What is your application and infrastructure portfolio?
  3. How much will you allocate to maintenance?
  4. You're building from scratch, so what problems do you hope to avoid through wise architecture?
  5. What are your big milestones?
  6. Who are your key vendors?

How do you spend in consonance with the campaign strategy?

  1. How will you use the Internet to bring offline voters into the campaign at the same numbers as radio or television broadcasts?
  2. What is your online strategy for responding to attack ads and opposition pundits in radio, television and print?
  3. Online community takes time to build and is very hard to organize geographically. What will you do to match the state-by-state primary schedule?
  4. What can you do with online services to serve the campaign in caucus states?
  5. You are preparing for Bush to launch in Spring 2004. What are your countermeasures to reach out to moderate Republicans online while the GOP uses its advanced voter email systems to barrage 200 million validated email addresses?
  6. How will you lower the cost-per-vote vs. the GOP?

A new SDN article delves into the related commands.

The country's highest court says charging the obese for an extra seat is discriminatory. Although the ruling applies only to domestic flights, it could pave the way toward similar policies in other countries that have been grappling with the issue.
