Customer Reviews
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good quality TV.
I have had this TV/DVD combo for a little over a month, and so far it is doing all that I expected. At 32" screen size the lack of 1080 resolution is not an issue. That size is quite adequate for a medium sized room, by the way. As others have mentioned, the remote doesn't offer many options for DVD control but that is balanced in my mind by the convenience of the built-in player at a reasonable price. I have not noticed the difficulty with noise from the DVD player mentioned by some other reviewers. The TV has multiple HDMI inputs and works fine with my HD cable hookup, also.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TV
Purchased Regza 32" LCD TV 4 months ago and the TV will not turn on. Parts are extremely difficult to find and the repair process can take several months. Toshiba is known to have power supply problems with their televisions. Customer service is terrible. The worst customer service I have encountered. Do yourself a favor and pay up for the Sony Bravia.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Nice TV/DVD for the money
This is the second of these that I have bought in the past year. The first one cost $1100 and was killed by a power surge. I had not realized that these flat TVs are computers and need the same protection. The second one was only $750, a huge price drop perhaps because the model is being discontinued and the DVD will not play the coming hi-res BlueRay media. It is the biggest TV to still have a built-in DVD, and I like the ease and simplicity and cleanliness of it. No cables and connections to a separate player. Just offer the side slot a disc, and the whole thing comes on and starts playing the movie.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Works Well
I have been using this product for approximately one month. The picture quality is good. I do not have any problems with using the built-in DVD player. Overall appearance and functionality for the price of this product is great. I would recommend this product as well as purchase it again.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - LOVE this TV!
LOVE this Regza! Weird name, but I love it! Even though it is not the 1080 res. model, let me tell you. The picture is gorgeous! Better than most, and quite competitive with the more expensive Sony 1080s. Great price. I love having the DVD player; between the built-in and all the others, we should should be good for years. And as someone who's eyes aren't that great, having such a bright, clear picture makes TV viewing a pleasure. Go for HD service -- the extra channels are worth it. Set up was fast, it took longer to get the base on than hook it up. I'm sold on the Toshiba brand.

I have just moved my personal site over to a new Typepad location.  You are all welcome to visit.

The site's archive will remain intact here until I can figure out how to map it to a new location.

The worm exploiting a critical Windows bug that Microsoft patched with an emergency fix in late October is now being used to build a new botnet, a security researcher said today.

CLLCT - The Collective Family An online community of indipendent musicians who have made their music free to download. No, it's not myspace.
(disclaimer: I have a profile there too, but nothing that I haven’t also posted on mefi.music. Apart from that I have nothing else to do with running or maintaining the site.)

Originally the 001collective, cllct is a community (or a collective if you will) of musicians dedicated to giving away their music for free on the internet. I randomly found the original 001 site while looking for online communities to post my own home recordings to. Not long after I signed up, the site changed to its current format under the new name cllct.

There is some phenomenal music to be found there, from the cuteness overload of Shelby Sifers, to the mature stylings of Generous Alzir, and even the off-kilter experiments of the Secret Owl Society (who is also the man behind the entire site).

Some other favourites of mine include:
21 love songs – a tribute to Magnetic Fields
Fire in the Mountains – James Eric
Pinecones – The Uggamuggas
Macondo – Fox Paws

I hope you enjoy the music!

Blogs | Appliweb Project

Welcome to my new project : Appliweb !

With Appliweb, I'll try to create a successfull opensource project, for a subject that I find most important: web development.

By successfull opensource project, I mean:

  - A Project with lots of (other) people involved

  - A Project  that will help people.

  - A Project I will eventually earn money with.

For this,

  - I've rent  a shared-server to an ISP: planetwork. A friend of mine (here) recommended them to me.

  - I setup a Joomla project, with blogs and comments and forums

  - I wrote some articles explaining my ideas and how to create them

It's the  first project that I didn't start by writing the code ! Others have failed, even if many people still looks into them....

Now the website is ready, I will begin to write some code (in javascript ! eechhhh).

I'm waiting to have something to show before I write about it in my favorite websites !
