Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Doesn't Work
Maybe I got a bad copy, but I couldn't even install this software on any of my computers and I'm a certified computer repair tech.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Terrific program!
I'm an experienced amateur singer. I've taken voice lessons, but I just wasn't satisfied with my ability to sing in tune. This program has already helped me, and I've just begun to explore it. It provides instant feedback, letting you know if you're on the correct pitch. My only complaint is that it does not allow you to edit imported songs in Compose mode, and it does not import perfectly - a few notes did not import at the correct duration, and it doesn't seem to import triplets. But it does so many other things so well, these are minor quibbles.
Yes, it uses cartoon characters, but I enjoyed them. If you've got a microphone stand up your rear end and can't imagine singing being fun, maybe this program is not for you.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Nice and Helpful
This is a fun singing coach and it has features that really helps. I really like that it can graph your voice and how high or low your voice is. It tracks the notes you are hitting while you sing into a computer microphone.

I'd recommend you read a good book on how to sing along with using this program:

Singing for Dummies

This program touches on info like how to exercise your voice, how singing works etc. but if you'd like lots more detail or another perspective this Singing for Dummies Book is a good one.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - No service from technicians when there is a problem
[ASIN:B0006SE5BQ Singing Coach Unlimited]
I purchased Singing Coach Unlimited on March 08. In the meantime my computer crashed and the only program available was Windows Vista, which was already on all the new computers. I was told that Windows Vista, which is the program on my new computer, would be compatible with Windows 98 programs. (Not so) I contacted a technician for Singing Coach Unlimited. He said the reason the program would not load is because it is not compatible with Windows Vista but that there was no problem. They would send me a disc immediatly at no extra cost. I waited until Mid May. It never came. I e-mailed. No reply. I phoned and left messages. My calls were not returned. Finally I got someone on the phone and they said they would send the disc at once. I am still waiting a month later. I have e-mailed more. No answer. No reply to my calls. It is now too late to return the product to Amazon.com and it appears I have no way of getting this disc from the manufacturer. I am deeply disappointed and wish there were some way of getting that disc. I bought this for my musical, but special needs child as part of her therapy.

This is a word of warning to anyone whoever requires service from this company. It is simply not there

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Where's the 9/8 time signature?
Maybe I'm musically inept. But I wrote a MIDI file in 9/8 time and when I import it using this program, it comes out sounding all wrong. It seems it's unable to compose or import anything in 9/8. Can someone help me out please?

Since there's no forum for this software, I had no choice but to post here.... Feel free to email me at JacobsJeff@gmail.com

I've only owned this program for a day, so I'm not fit to write a propper review yet. I love what I see so far, except that annoying no 9/8 thing.

Amazon.com is offering a so-called Black Friday special on Eye-Fi Share:
The 2 GB Wi-Fi-enabled Secure Digital card normally runs $90; it's $65 while the sale lasts.

Given that Eye-Fi introduced a limited-time-only 4 GB "Anniversary" model that replaced the 2 GB Share version in its current line-up, and that the Anniversary model was $130 list but $100 for Costco members, it's pretty clear that the 2 GB won't re-appear, the 4 GB model will drop in price, and Amazon's acting as a clearance center.

The Eye-Fi Share lets you upload pictures over a local network to a designated computer, or upload via a Wi-Fi network for which the Eye-Fi is configured to connect over the Internet to Eye-Fi's servers, and from there to a specified photo-sharing, social-network, or photo-printing service.

I'm a fan of the Eye-Fi, although I favor the currently $130 Explore model (see my review), which comes with geotagging (via Skyhook Wireless) and adds a year of included uploading via Wayport locations (now part of AT&T).

I've heard it said by Dave Winer and many many others: if only Dean had reinvested half the money raised into the Internet, then ...

OK, so you're the Dean Campaign Chief Information Officer in August 2003. The money starts to roll in. $20 million over six months, $2-4 million per month.

What would you spend the money on?

  1. What does your monthly budget look like?
  2. What is your application and infrastructure portfolio?
  3. How much will you allocate to maintenance?
  4. You're building from scratch, so what problems do you hope to avoid through wise architecture?
  5. What are your big milestones?
  6. Who are your key vendors?

How do you spend in consonance with the campaign strategy?

  1. How will you use the Internet to bring offline voters into the campaign at the same numbers as radio or television broadcasts?
  2. What is your online strategy for responding to attack ads and opposition pundits in radio, television and print?
  3. Online community takes time to build and is very hard to organize geographically. What will you do to match the state-by-state primary schedule?
  4. What can you do with online services to serve the campaign in caucus states?
  5. You are preparing for Bush to launch in Spring 2004. What are your countermeasures to reach out to moderate Republicans online while the GOP uses its advanced voter email systems to barrage 200 million validated email addresses?
  6. How will you lower the cost-per-vote vs. the GOP?
