Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Just As Described!
Great Product it was just as discribed I would defintly buy with them again in the near future.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Genuinely good
There's no way to review a familiar windows OS than "it works" and "does not work". This one works, and it's a genuine one. That's all you need to know if you need this.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - OEM Media Center Edition
This product is provides a horrible experience. Microsoft can't activate a their software - what? You mean after you buy this software you have to divulge more personal information to actually use the product. You bet ya. But it gets better. What happens when Microsoft can't give you the activation code to the OEM product? They send you to the "manufacture" guess what you bought this OEM software without a PC? You're outta luck. your cd's are useless. Hopefully you'll never get to this point but you are dealing with Microsoft. Maybe the supplier you're buying from will help you. Mine didn't. Good luck!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Lousy stinking OS!
I have found Media Center Edition to be quite unstable relative to XP home or Pro. Why, I don't know but two computers I have purchased with it are extrememly unstable and have to be reinstalled every 6 months. Avoid this OS like the plague! Literally!!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - MCE 2005 is where it's at.
I have been using this for almost a year now. I run an Asus A8N-SLI, 1GB, AMD 4000+. I use it to store and use all media. Pictures, videos, ripped DVDs, etc. I watch and record Live TV every day and also own 2 v1 Linksys extenders that are used often. One wireless and one wired. This OS is stable and very functional. I use nVidia's pure platinum codec and that is all you need. OTA HDTV functionality works and looks great. I have 3 analog tuners distributed to the extenders also. I couldn't be happier with the entire setup and will not move to Vista until forced in a few years.

p.s., of course it comes with 2 discs! Who are these people?...

The proposed acquisition of Macromedia by Adobe is not a done deal. Both companies are under the scrutiny of the SEC, and it must also be approved by stockholders. While Macromedia/Adobe gives this process three to nine months, some industry analysts feel that is being overly optimistic. But assuming that all is goes as planned, Macromedia will cease to exist. Everything will be in the Adobe name and with the Adobe interface.

A federal judge has ordered Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer to testify in the "Vista Capable" class-action lawsuit, rejecting the company's contention that he knew nothing about changing the hardware requirements for the marketing program.
