Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Product for a child who loves the computer
My son received this for Christmas (2 1/2 years old). He loves it. He gets into it by himself and manuevers through all the games without help. I love the ability to review what he is doing, and move him ahead if I feel he needs to. This is his favorite computer game of all...

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Not for ages stated, boring as well
This says it's for age 1 1/2 but it's way to advanced for a child so young. My son will be 2 in 3 months he has no interest in this game at all. He really loves to move the mouse by himself and I wanted a game we could do together with him playing it under my supervision. My son is interested in the games daddy plays like World of Warcraft which he laughs at all the time and enjoys the graphics of daddy jumping on his wolf, but he won't even look at the screen with this Jumpstart game playing.

I expected it to be more visually stimulating for children so young but the graphics are horrid and boring.
The learning is for older kids who are 3 or older.
Not much content either for a $20 game, should be $10 at most.
The game was rather girly with little ducks and butterflys everywhere.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - GREAT!
We bought this for our 3 year old, and she was able the pick up on it very quickly! It has helped prepare her for preschool tremendously! We are going to get her the Kindergarten one for Christmas this year.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - This is a total waste
For Christmas, I purchased this item for my two and half year old son, who is fairly advanced for his age. The program is reccomended for 2-4. I was totally disappointed in this product. Before you begin to use the product, the child is given an assessment test, which was fairly good. However, it gave you the illusion that the program would be like that, when it is not. Your child is scored and based on the score, the questions are supposed to be geared toward the skills that the child does not know or needs improvement on. First of all the programs were difficult to understand for most adults (my husband and I are both college educated). Both my husband and myself sat down with my son and could not figure out the concept of the games. My son was easily bored with the product and seemed disinterested. He seemed to prefer some of his other computer software, (School Zone(preschool) and Disney for Toddlers. I would tell anyone to invest their money in another software.

The proposed acquisition of Macromedia by Adobe is not a done deal. Both companies are under the scrutiny of the SEC, and it must also be approved by stockholders. While Macromedia/Adobe gives this process three to nine months, some industry analysts feel that is being overly optimistic. But assuming that all is goes as planned, Macromedia will cease to exist. Everything will be in the Adobe name and with the Adobe interface.

Microsoft has acknowledged that exploit code is circulating for a still-unpatched vulnerability it first reported six months ago. But it's not clear when, or if, it plans to release a patch.

All About N-Gage have the dirt on a game that looks like it has a lot of potential: Asphalt: Urban GT.  I can't say that I've played much more than some FIFA and other random stuff on the N-Gage, but a good racer can add a lot of value to a gaming platform.  Of course I'm still waiting to see if Call of Duty rocks as much as it should.
