The Bank of England is expected to cut interest rates later to their lowest for more than half a century.

More than 98% of computers running Windows harbor at least one unpatched application -- and nearly half contain 11 or more programs at risk from attack, according to Danish security company Secunia.

The fact that I'm able to type this blog entry less than a week after the operation has me hopeful that recovery will be quicker than I was led to believe, but it will still be a few weeks before I'm able to really tackle any serious work.
